Job summary

Aramark is recruiting a Kitchen Service Worker to join the team at Colchester Institute in Colchester (CO3 3LL) on a zero hour contract. The role supports the kitchen team, serves customers at food counters, handles stock deliveries, and helps maintain high cleanliness and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring a positive attitude and good teamwork skills. Previous hospitality experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or catering experience is welcome but not essential.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the kitchen team with day-to-day catering operations.
• Assisting Kitchen Porters with cleaning and washing up duties.
• Receiving deliveries and transporting stock safely within the site.
• Assisting with stock storage and stock rotation.
• Serving customers at food counters and service points.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout kitchen and service areas.
• Following food safety, health & safety, and company procedures at all times.
