DAC Beachcroft in New York is seeking an Associate to grow with our global insurance offering. You will handle personal injury and other defendant litigation with direct client contact and close collaboration with senior attorneys.

You should have New York Bar admission and 2–3 years' experience in pre-litigation and litigation, with strong deposition skills. The role offers autonomy, a substantial caseload, and a collaborative, supportive working environment.

Qualifications

• Strong deposition skills.
• Ability to run your own caseload independently.
• Strong academic record.
• Sound analysis of complex facts for commercial resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload and support Partners on personal injury and other defendant litigation matters.
• Apply legal principles to facts and build sound, commercial strategies for medium and high value cases, including potential policy coverage issues.
• Depose all relevant parties in litigation.
• Draft and review correspondence, reports and litigation documents.
• Keep your files organized and in line with client quality and service level requirements.
• Learn your clients' businesses and how they fit with ours.
