Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting a Management Accountant for a 12-month contract based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. The role sits in a small finance team and covers general accounting, management accounting and reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

The successful candidate will support the wider business with timely, accurate financial reporting and will ensure compliance with internal policies and controls while working to tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified and ideally working towards ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent.
• Experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong Excel and ERP system experience.
• Detail oriented and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Balance sheet account reconciliations, justification reviews and ageing analysis.
• Compile and review lease schedules.
• Compile and review SOX control documentation.
• Support government and statutory reporting requirements.
• Assist with month-end close and preparation of management reports.
• Prepare accruals, accounting records, statements and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with shared service centres and overseas colleagues to ensure compliance with financial procedures and controls.
• Collate supporting documentation for external auditors.
• Support year-end accounting analysis and tax summaries.
• Provide wider support to senior accounting and finance team members as required.
• Ensure all financial activities are completed in line with internal policies, procedures and controls.
