Job summary

YMCA Fairthorne Group Andover is seeking warm, patient Early Years Practitioners to support children through play-based learning in our purpose-built nursery. We welcome those with Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualifications or studying toward one, who share our values of care, curiosity and inclusivity.

We offer full-time roles at 40 hours across four days and part-time roles up to 30 hours on a flexible rota Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner or studying toward one.
• Commitment to play-based learning and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Build warm and secure relationships with children.
• Help each child feel they belong and support independence.
• Create engaging play-based learning opportunities.
• Follow children's interests and observe development to plan next steps.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, inclusive nursery environment.
