Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting for a well-known client in Bicester for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (C+E). Shifts run across Monday to Sunday, with full-time, part-time, or ad-hoc options.

Start times between 12:00 and 21:00, night rates apply, and weekly pay with competitive rates. Role involves depot loading, transporting trailers to hubs, customer site work, loading/unloading, and occasional tail-lift operations.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E)
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph card valid and in date
• 6+ months proven experience driving the relevant vehicle
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
• Less than 12 infringement points in any one month and no infringement points for three consecutive months
• Flexibility to work shifts across Mon-Sun with start times 12:00–21:00 (night rate)
• Full understanding of WTD legislation
• Excellent communication skills and a safety-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Execute depot pull and loading to prepare trailers for hub transport
• Move vehicles to customers to collect trailers and deliver to hub
• Assist with loading/unloading at customer sites and depot
• Perform drop and swap operations and occasional tail-lift work
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely deliveries
• Travel to local sites for tacho card download prior to nomination
• Attend on-site induction for the first shift
