Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our well known client in the Bicester area for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (C+E). Shifts run across Mon-Sun with full time or part time options. Start times range 12:00–21:00 and pay varies by day, with uplift after 12 weeks.

Roles include depot pull, customer site work, loading/unloading assistance, and occasional trailer swaps. You will need 6+ months experience, DCPC, tachograph card, and a clean licence.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
• At least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence and no infringement points for three consecutive months.
• Flexibility to work shifts across Mon-Sun with start times 12:00–21:00 (night rate).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute depot pull and fill the back of a trailer at the depot and transport it to a hub.
• Take the vehicle to a customer to collect a trailer, deliver to hub, then return to the depot.
• Assist with loading/unloading at customer sites and in the depot.
• Perform drop and swap operations, tail lift use, and occasional uncoupling.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Travel to local sites for a one-off tacho card download prior to the position.
• Attend an on-site induction for the first shift.
