Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (C+E) for a client in the Bicester area. Shifts run Mon-Sun with full time, part time or ad-hoc options; start times between 12:00 and 21:00.

Location: Bicester. This is an ongoing role. Duties include depot pull, customer site runs, loading/unloading, and occasional trailer swaps. Induction and tachograph card download are part of the process.

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
At least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence; minor offences only.
Less than 12 infringement points in any one month and no infringement points for three consecutive months.

Responsibilities

Execute depot pull, fill the back of a trailer at the depot and transport to a hub.
Engage in customer work, taking the vehicle to a customer to collect a trailer, delivering it to a hub, and returning to the depot.
Assist with loading and unloading at customer sites and in the depot.
Perform drop and swap operations, sometimes using a tail lift, and occasionally doing trailer swaps requiring uncoupling the vehicle.
Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
Travel to local sites for a one-off download of the tachograph card prior to being put forward for the position.
Attend an on-site induction for the first shift.
