The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Stoke-On-Trent area. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Shifts run across Monday to Sunday with full-time or part-time options and start times between 12:00pm and 21:00pm, all paid at night rates. You will perform depot pulls, deliveries to hubs, loading/unloading, and occasional trailer swaps, with tacho card download before starting.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
• Minimum 6 months proven experience driving HGV Class 1.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence and no infringements in last 3 months.

Responsabilités

• Execute depot pull, filling the back of a trailer at the depot and transporting it to a hub.
• Engage in customer work, taking the vehicle to a customer to collect a trailer, delivering it to a hub, and returning to the depot.
• Assist with loading and unloading at customer sites and in the depot.
• Perform drop and swap operations, sometimes using a tail lift, and occasionally doing trailer swaps requiring uncoupling the vehicle.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Travel to local sites for a one-off download of the tacho card prior to being put forward for the position.
• Attend an on-site induction for the first shift.
