Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Limited are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) for our Goole area client. Shifts run across Monday to Sunday, with full-time, part-time, or ad-hoc options and start times between 12:00pm and 9:00pm.

Pay varies by day and progression, with midweek rates from £18.15 per hour and higher after 12 weeks; weekend rates up to £26.25 per hour. Role includes depot work, customer site visits, loading/unloading, and occasional tail lift operations.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
• Minimum 6 months experience driving a HGV CAT C+E.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no infringement for 3 consecutive months.
• Flexible shifts Mon-Sun, 12:00–21:00, paid at night rate.
• Travel to local site for tacho download when requested.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication and safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute depot pull and trailer movements to hub.
• Engage in customer work, delivering trailers to hub and returning.
• Assist with loading/unloading at customer sites and depot.
• Perform drop and swap operations, tail lift when needed and uncoupling.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient operations.
• Attend on-site induction for first shift and travel for tacho download.
