Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of a well known logistics client in Goole for HGV Class 1 (CAT C+E) drivers. Roles are ongoing with full-time, part-time or ad-hoc options. Shifts run Mon-Sun with start times between 12:00 and 21:00 and all night-rate pay.

You will execute depot pulls, collect and deliver trailers, assist with loading, and work as part of a team to ensure timely deliveries. A valid UK LGV C+E licence, CPC, tachograph card, and up-to-date points checks are required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E) and CPC & Tachograph card.
• Min 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• No more than 6 points on licence and no infringement points for three consecutive months.

Responsibilities

• Execute depot pull, filling the back of a trailer at the depot and transporting it to a hub.
• Engage in customer work, taking the vehicle to a customer to collect a trailer, delivering it to a hub, and returning to the depot.
• Assist with loading and unloading at customer sites and in the depot.
• Perform drop and swap operations, sometimes using a tail lift, and occasionally doing trailer swaps requiring uncoupling the vehicle.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Travel to local sites for a one-off download of the tacho card prior to being put forward for the position.
• Attend an on-site induction for the first shift.
