Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Greenhithe. The role supports nursing and clinical teams and involves routine clinical tasks within GP clinics to ensure smooth patient flow.

Applicants should have HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings, be confident with routine observations, and possess strong communication skills. DBS clearance is required; DBS enhanced is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS clinical settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature
• Supporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings
• Performing ECGs and basic health checks
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained
• Updating digital patient records in line with service protocols
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
