Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services. You will support nursing and clinical teams, perform routine clinical tasks, and help maintain smooth patient flow in GP clinics.

The role offers fully flexible sessions across weekdays, evenings, and weekends, with ad-hoc or regular work options. Prior HCA experience and enhanced DBS are preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in primary care or NHS settings.
• Able to perform routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings.
• Perform ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Update digital patient records in line with service protocols.
• Support clinicians with general duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
