Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide flexible treatment room support across primary care services, with sessions in GP clinics. You will assist with routine clinical duties and support nursing and clinical teams to maintain smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates will have prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings, be confident with routine observations, and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS clinical settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Supporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings.
• Performing ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained.
• Updating digital patient records in line with service protocols.
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
