Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants for Pengam Green, delivering support across community clinics, GP surgeries, and wider primary care services with flexible shifts that fit your availability.

You will assist with patient assessments, routine clinical procedures, and maintain an efficient clinic environment, with clear guidance and smooth day-to-day workflows for clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial.
• Confident with standardised clinical tasks.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient observations (BP, pulse, temperature).
• Support routine treatment room procedures.
• Carry out ECGs and basic health checks.
• Perform phlebotomy if trained.
• Assist with patient education and lifestyle advice.
• Update clinical notes accurately in service systems.
• Provide general clinical support to nurses and GPs.
