Job summary

Locums First is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant in Stokenchurch to provide flexible clinical support across local primary care services. You will assist with routine observations, treatment room duties and contribute to smooth clinic flow under supervision.

Shifts are fully flexible, with sessions across weekdays, evenings or weekends and regular or ad-hoc bookings. The role supports multiple GP practices and community services with clear guidance and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• HCA experience in primary care, community, or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills desirable.
• Confident in performing clinical observations (BP, pulse, temp).
• Excellent communication and patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine patient observations such as BP, pulse and temperature
• Supporting treatment room procedures under clinical supervision
• Conducting ECGs and basic health checks
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained
• Providing lifestyle advice and basic patient education
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed
