Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants in Murieston South to provide flexible clinical support across local primary care services. Sessions vary and suit HCAs with strong patient-facing skills and confidence in routine clinical tasks.

You will support primary care teams with observations, treatment room duties, and basic health checks, ECGs, and phlebotomy if trained, while maintaining accurate documentation and clear guidance through structured workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills desirable.
• Ability to perform clinical observations confidently.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Adaptability across different primary care environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient observations such as BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures under clinical supervision.
• Conduct ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Provide lifestyle advice and basic patient education.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support clinicians with general duties where needed.
