Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support regional primary care services in Swanley. The role offers flexible, sessional work within established GP clinics, ideal for nurses experienced in routine treatment room activities and day-to-day clinical operations.

You will assist local primary care teams with general nursing responsibilities, clinical reviews and patient-facing procedures in well-organised environments.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with primary care experience.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Ability to deliver routine treatment room activity and patient-facing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing support across GP clinic settings.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Administer routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained).
• Conduct smear tests if cytology-trained.
• Support chronic disease management and care plan activity.
• Undertake NHS Health Checks where required.
• Document clinical information accurately in digital systems.
