Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum General Practitioner to work with a GP practice in Esher. The role offers flexible, well-organised sessions within a supportive primary care environment and clear daily clinical structure.

You will manage a varied caseload, deliver high-quality patient assessments and provide continuity where required, supported by strong administrative systems and a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner status is required.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List is required.
• Recent UK primary care experience is essential.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems is expected.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS are required.

Responsibilities

• Run routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Manage acute presentations and complex cases.
• Provide telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Review investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribe safely and appropriately.
• Document consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Support the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
