Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GP locum to join a Canterbury practice, offering ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions with flexible hours and long-term arrangement potential. You will conduct routine and urgent clinics, perform assessments and triage, review results, and prescribe safely within established clinical workflows, supported by strong admin backing and a collaborative team.

GMC-registered with UK primary care experience and an Enhanced DBS is required.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
