Job summary

Prospero Health & Social Care - Cardiff is seeking a reliable and friendly Support Worker to provide 21 hours of daytime assistance to a family. You will support a mum and her autistic son with daily activities, appointments, and community outings, helping maintain routines while promoting independence.

A full UK driving licence is required, and you will be comfortable driving as part of the role; the family has a disability vehicle and insurance arrangements will be made.

Qualifications

• Experience in care settings is advantageous, especially with autism or learning disabilities.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and be confident driving as part of the role.
• Friendly, dependable and able to maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Support mum and her son with day-to-day activities and routines.
• Assist with trips and activities within the community.
• Attend appointments as required.
• Help with shopping and general day-to-day tasks.
• Provide appropriate support to a child with autism.
• Maintain routines and consistency to promote independence.
• Drive as required to support the family within the role.
