Job summary

Orange Recruitment is seeking a Female Support Worker to join the Penarth team. The role requires driving the client’s car and supporting with daily living tasks, meals, and light household duties in the client’s home.

Hours start at 12 hours per week, with potential to increase to 18 hours. A DBS check is mandatory, and induction and ongoing support are provided. This is a permanent position working in a multi-disciplinary team in Penarth.

Qualifications

• Be able to drive and have use of a car.
• Be willing to drive the client’s car.
• Understand needs of a client with cognitive and physical difficulties.
• Enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks (laundry, tidying).
• Help client learn to cook a variety of meals.
• Support with personal care, including showering as needed.
• Provide companionship, engage in activities and outings.
• Be reliable, calm and patient with a consistent approach.
• Possible additional hours as needed.
