Job summary

The Milner York, part of RBH Hospitality Management, seeks friendly hospitality professionals to deliver memorable guest experiences at events and weddings in York. You will welcome guests, serve food and beverages, and supports teams across bar and kitchen to ensure smooth operations.

Role requires evenings/weekends, summer wedding coverage, and a flexible, proactive approach to guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous food and beverage service experience is a plus, but we welcome a willingness to learn.
• Clear communication with guests and colleagues.
• Friendly, professional approach to guest interactions.
• Keen eye for detail, especially in order accuracy and presentation.
• Team-focused and ready to jump in to keep service flowing.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends; available for summer weddings/events.

Responsibilities

• Welcome delegates/guests with a warm smile and attentive service.
• Run events, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled.
• Serve food and drinks with care, maintaining high presentation and timing.
• Set up, clean, and reset event areas, keeping spaces inviting and organized.
• Prepare and serve beverages, including basic barista duties and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Maintain stock of meeting rooms and event spaces; assist with inventory.
• Uphold hygiene and health and safety standards, ensuring a spotless workspace.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to deliver seamless service.
