RBH Hospitality Management's Milner York hotel in the heart of York is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep guest spaces and facilities running smoothly. You’ll work hands-on across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance, resolving issues with safety and care to protect guest experiences.

You’ll join a diverse, people-first team with flexible working arrangements and a focus on wellbeing and development. A proactive approach and strong organisational skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Solid experience in a maintenance role, ideally within hospitality or a similar setting.
• Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Organisational and multitasking abilities to juggle a range of responsibilities and respond quickly to urgent issues.
• Flexibility to respond to urgent repairs, including availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
• A passion for maintaining a safe, well-functioning environment that enhances the guest experience.

Aufgaben

• Maintaining our hotel’s high standards, ensuring every guest space, facility, and behind-the-scenes area operates flawlessly and looks pristine.
• Carry out short term (reactive) maintenance work e.g. repairs affecting guest bedrooms and services as a matter of urgency while adhering to all safety procedures and causing minimum disruption to guests.
• Use, operate and store all tools, equipment and materials safely and securely to comply with statutory regulations e.g. COSHH.
• Maintain operational standards to the highest possible level in respect of service, hygiene, health and safety and ensure that there is minimal wastage.
