Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for day-to-day supply across Romford and surrounding areas. The role supports nursery and reception settings, helping create a nurturing EYFS environment that promotes early development and learning.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2/3 in Early Years Education, have experience with 0-5 age groups, and understand the EYFS framework. DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one is preferred; payroll is weekly through PAYE.

Qualifications

• Relevant childcare qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education).
• Experience working with children aged 0-5 in nursery or school settings is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding principles.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through play-based activities.
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging EYFS curriculum content.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
• Provide feedback on children's progress and contribute to observations.
• Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times.
