Job summary

Bright Horizons in Tingley is seeking a flexible Nursery Practitioner for their Bright Flex/Bank team. You will engage children in educational activities aligned to EYFS, supporting development and milestones, while contributing to team duties like room tidying and setup.

DBS checks apply, and the role offers varied shifts within an Ofsted outstanding setting. Applicants should hold a Level 3+ Early Years qualification and have prior experience with children.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years qualification required.
• Experience working with children in early years settings.
• Strong communication skills with children and adults.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Job description

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee - giving you the best of both worlds! Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children - Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
