Job summary

Barnsley Council is seeking a Targeted Early Help Support Practitioner to join the Children & Family Social Care team. You will assess and deliver planned interventions as part of the team around the family, working with children, young people and families to improve outcomes.

The post is full-time, permanent, 37 hours per week, with agile working options under discussion. A DBS check is required and there is no sponsorship for visas.

Qualifications

• A level 4 qualification in a relevant field or substantial relevant experience.
• Experience chairing and attending multi-agency meetings to formulate plans.
• Excellent communication, flexibility and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• delivering tailored, evidence-based interventions to meet a wide range of individual and family needs;
• maintaining accurate and comprehensive records to support effective practice and decision-making;
• applying safeguarding and threshold frameworks to ensure appropriate support and intervention;
• working with multi-agency partners to champion Early Help and integrated services.
