Job summary

Barnsley Council is seeking a Targeted Early Help Support Practitioner to join the Children’s Services team. You will deliver assessed interventions to families with children aged 0-25, working within a holistic team around the family.

The role requires a Level 4 qualification or substantial relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to chair multi-agency meetings. The post offers a permanent contract, 37 hours per week, and agile/flexible working options.

Qualifications

• A level 4 qualification in a relevant field or substantial relevant experience of working with children, young people and families in their homes as well as within the wider community.
• Experience of chairing and attending multiagency meetings to formulate plans to ensure that the families you work with receive the best possible support.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• delivering tailored, evidence-based interventions to meet a wide range of individual and family needs;
• maintaining accurate and comprehensive records to support effective practice and decision-making;
• applying a strong understanding of safeguarding and threshold frameworks to ensure appropriate support and intervention;
• working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to champion Early Help and integrated services at all times.
