Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine, driving a Royal Mail van on your round and occasionally delivering on foot.

Expect varied shifts with pay rates depending on the shift: Day £16.24, Dawn £17.16, Early shifts £17.16, Evening £16.93, Lates £17.70, Night £19.00.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with clean record.
• Ability to walk 20,000 steps daily and carry a mailbag up to 16 kg.
• Flexible shifts and ability to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels to assigned route safely.
• Drive Royal Mail van and occasionally walk parts of the route.
• Handle and deliver election materials within standards.
