Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll be the face of the service in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine.

Shifts vary throughout the day and pay rates range by shift, with Day £13.69/h, Dawn £14.61/h, Late £15.14/h, and Night £16.44/h. A full UK manual driving licence is required and you should be fit to walk long distances.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk long distances (up to 20,000 steps) and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary and require adaptability at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels within your community on a Royal Mail route.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and deliver items safely and on time.
• Provide exceptional service and ensure items reach their destination.
