Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible postal delivery drivers on a temporary basis. You will deliver letters and parcels across your area, combining van driving with walking portions of the route.

Paid per shift with multiple rate tiers; roles demand outdoor activity, a valid UK driving licence, and the ability to pass a driving assessment on start. Flexible shifts and community-facing work are offered.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary and require adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your route, driving a Royal Mail van where needed.
• Occasionally complete parts of the route on foot and ensure safe delivery.
• Deliver election materials and other items in line with Royal Mail standards.
