Job summary

Angard Recruitment is helping Royal Mail recruit a Post Person with Driving role in the UK. You will drive a Royal Mail van across your delivery area, while occasionally walking to complete parts of your route and delivering letters and parcels with care.

This temporary position offers varied shifts and the chance to serve your local community, with pay rates from £13.69 to £16.44 per hour depending on shift; a driving assessment is required at start and daily outdoor activity is common.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along your route, driving a Royal Mail van and occasionally walking.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials and certain items (food/alcohol) per standard.
• Be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering with pride and exceptional service.
