Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is seeking a passionate Teacher of Computer Science for daily supply roles across Liverpool. You will deliver engaging KS3/KS4 CS lessons and support students across a variety of settings.

The role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking flexible daily opportunities, with immediate starts and access to a dedicated consultant for placements across Liverpool schools.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Computer Science or Computing at secondary school level.
• Strong subject knowledge, including programming concepts and computational thinking.
• The ability to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire pupils.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Computer Science lessons to secondary school pupils across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach a range of topics, including programming, algorithms, computational thinking, computer systems and data representation.
• Support pupils in developing coding skills, logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Follow existing lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt your teaching approach to meet the needs and abilities of different pupils.
• Encourage pupils to develop their digital literacy, creativity and confidence in using technology.
• Support pupils in applying computational concepts to practical tasks and real-world scenarios.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to support learning and maintain high educational standards.
