Job summary

You will plan and deliver practical D&T lessons in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, or Food Technology, with related safety training and strong classroom management expected.

Qualifications

• UK QTS or QTLS with a degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for D&T KS3/KS4, including GCSE project and exam preparation.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Deliver and plan engaging D&T lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available).
• Step into D&T departments across The Wirral for daily cover, short-term sickness, or long-term placements.
• Supervise machinery, tools, and workshop environments safely with strict health and safety compliance.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and create a structured, creative learning space.

Requirements

• Qualifications: UK QTS or QTLS with a degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
• Subject Knowledge: Strong command of the UK National Curriculum for D&T across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE project and exam preparation.
• Health & Safety: Valid DATA machinery certification or equivalent workshop safety knowledge is highly desirable.
• Compliance & Location: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) and the ability to commute around The Wirral.
