Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting Cover Supervisors to support Bristol secondary schools on a flexible, day-to-day basis. You will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, manage behaviour, and keep students engaged, with 1 to 5 days of work per week depending on availability.

Overseas-trained teachers are welcomed for UK experience. We offer 24/7 consultant support, opportunities to progress to longer-term roles, competitive pay rates, and a referral scheme.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people in childcare, education, coaching or similar.
• Overseas teaching experience is welcomed for candidates seeking UK classroom exposure.
• Confidence leading groups of secondary-aged students and delivering pre-planned work.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and keep students engaged.
• Provide flexible day-to-day cover across schools in Bristol area.
• Progression opportunities into longer-term roles.
