Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Wigan, supporting students from KS3 to KS5. You’ll step into the classroom during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned work and helping students stay focused and engaged.

We have opportunities ranging from day-to-day supply and individual lesson cover to longer-term placements, with some short-term bookings developing into extended assignments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a UK school, preferably around 6 months.
• Teaching or education-related qualifications, although these aren't essential.
• Recent safeguarding training, although training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Step into the classroom during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned work.
• Help students stay focused and engaged.
• Step in for day-to-day supply to longer-term placements across different lessons.
