Protocol Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Durham and Sunderland. You will deliver pre-planned work when teachers are absent and help maintain classroom engagement.

The role offers flexible day‑to‑day, weekly, or long‑term opportunities, with free CPD and ongoing support from a local education consultant to help you progress into teaching and related education roles.

Qualifications

• Passion for supporting young people
• Willingness to work in secondary schools
• Strong classroom presence and behaviour management
• Previous classroom experience is beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons across a variety of subjects and key stages
• Deliver work set by teaching staff
• Maintain a positive and safe learning environment
• Encourage student engagement and participation
• Support pupils to remain focused and productive
