Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, and Doncaster. You will deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, manage behaviour, and keep learners engaged while gaining valuable classroom experience.

Open to Early Career Teachers and experienced candidates alike, this role offers flexible work to fit around your schedule with ongoing support and training opportunities in South Yorkshire.

Qualifications

• A degree or relevant qualification.
• Confident communication and strong classroom presence.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Experience with young people is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout lessons.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff following each lesson.
• Build experience in a variety of school settings.
• No planning or marking is required, supporting healthy work-life balance.
