Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants for flexible shifts across community clinics, GP surgeries and primary care services in and around Pittenweem. You will support patient assessments, perform routine clinical tasks and help maintain an efficient clinic environment.

Experience as an HCA in primary care or NHS settings is preferred and enhanced DBS is desirable. Shifts include weekdays, evenings and weekends, with ad-hoc or regular bookings available to suit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial
• Confident in carrying out standardised clinical tasks
• Strong communication and time-management abilities
• Comfortable adapting to new clinical environments
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature
• Support routine treatment room procedures
• Carry out ECGs and basic health checks
• Phlebotomy if trained
• Assist with patient education and lifestyle advice
• Updating clinical notes accurately in service systems
• Providing general clinical support to nurses and GPs
