Job summary

Jenkins Humber - Brough is seeking a Class 1 Relief Driver to cover for annual leave and absences at our Brough site. The role involves up to two deliveries daily, loading/unloading tasks, and detailed safety checks.

You will liaise with the Operations Team to meet delivery windows and provide timely updates, with start times varying by operational needs. We require a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, relevant HGV experience, reliability, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
Have relevant HGV driving experience.
Be reliable, punctual and professional.
Have a strong focus on safety and load security.
Have good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Be able to work flexibly around varying start times and operational requirements.
Understand the importance of meeting customer delivery time slots.

Responsibilities

Complete up to two deliveries per day.
Open and close trailer curtains.
Secure loads and ensure safe transport of all loads.
Carry out pre-use vehicle checks and report defects.
Liaise with the Operations Team throughout the day.
Shunt trailers onto bays at the Brough site when required.
Ensure customer delivery time slots are met.
Provide clear, timely communication to the Operations Team, especially during delays.
