Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV licence(s) for Class 1 and/or Class 2 driving.
• Valid digital tachograph card (where applicable) and understanding of tachograph rules.
• Good knowledge of UK road safety and driving legislation.
• Experience driving HGV vehicles with focus on safe, efficient driving.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and maintain documentation.
• Good communication skills and professional attitude with customers and colleagues.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to work to schedules.
• Physically active role, including loading/unloading support when required.
• Newly qualified drivers considered for this assignment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles safely and compliantly.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections across routes.
• Carry out pre-/post-journey vehicle checks and report defects.
• Adhere to tachograph and working time rules.
• Secure loads and maintain safe driving standards at all times.
• Provide professional service to customers with clear, timely communication.
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork per company and legal requirements.
• Follow company policies including health and safety, site rules, and traffic management procedures.
