Job summary

Advance Housing & Support is seeking a Casual Support Worker in Witney (OX18). The role offers zero contracted hours with flexible shifts across days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

No prior care experience is required; your values, passion and determination to help people will matter. You will support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or mental health conditions, following care plans, maintaining records, and assisting with medical appointments.

Qualifications

• No prior care or support experience required; values and determination matter.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a team.
• Able to complete quality support records and maintain customer records.
• Must be literate and numerate in English.
• Willingness to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
• Medication administration (if required)
• Support with preparing and cooking meals
• Support with attending medical appointments
• Support with social activities
• Support with independent skills
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
• Keeping up to date with your training
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
• Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety
