Advance Housing & Support Ltd is seeking a Casual Support Worker in Canvey Island, Essex. This zero-contracted-hours role involves assisting people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs to live the lives they choose.

Flexible hours, training and progression opportunities are offered. Responsibilities include personal care, medication support, meal preparation, attending appointments, activities, records, and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; values and passion to help others.
• Ability to follow a Care Plan and Risk Assessments; maintain records.
• Willingness to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene (if required).
• Administer medication (if required).
• Support with meals – preparation and cooking.
• Attend medical appointments with customers.
• Engage in social activities and independent living skills.
• Perform domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.
• Keep accurate care records and update plans as required.
• Maintain training up to date.
• Ensure premises are safe during night shifts.
• Support meal times and food preparation (if required).
• Carry out regular safety checks on customers.
