Southampton City Council in Southampton is seeking Casual Support Workers for Kentish Road Respite to support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. This casual role has no guaranteed hours and offers flexible shifts.

You will assist with personal care, daily living skills and meaningful activities, align with care plans, and work with families and professionals to promote dignity, choice and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal care, daily living skills and individual wellbeing.
• Promote choice, dignity, independence and inclusion.
• Support people to take part in meaningful activities both within the service and in the community.
• Follow care plans, communication plans and risk assessments.
• Support individuals with a wide range of communication styles and support needs.
• Work positively with families, carers and professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to effective handovers.
• Be part of a team committed to providing safe, high-quality, person-centred support.
