Job summary

Careline The Agency For Care Staff in Reading is recruiting caring, reliable and enthusiastic Support Workers to join a flexible temporary workforce across a range of care settings.

You will provide person-centred support, assist with personal care and daily living activities, encourage independence, and help individuals participate in activities and their local community. An Enhanced DBS is desirable; right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a support worker or care role is desirable.
• A caring, patient and positive attitude.
• Good communication skills and a reliable approach to work.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
• An Enhanced DBS on the relevant workforce is desirable, or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred support to individuals with varying needs.
• Assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
• Supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and additional needs.
• Encouraging independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing.
• Supporting individuals to take part in activities and access the local community.
• Assisting with meals, medication and other support needs, where required and in line with training.
• Following care plans, safeguarding procedures and relevant policies.
