Job summary

CareTech is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our Ryeish Green service in Reading. The role supports adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs, with a strong emphasis on person-centred care and independence.

You will follow individual support plans, assist with daily living tasks, and help participants access the community. The role requires flexible availability, including evenings and sleep-ins, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Drivers desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Support activities, appointments, and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
