Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join our care team. You will help maintain a clean and safe environment for service users and staff, following COSHH and health and safety standards.

You will work as part of a supportive team, handle daily cleaning tasks, manage waste, replenish supplies and support colleagues in a busy home environment. Apprenticeship opportunities available; applicants must have the right to work in the UK and live within commutable distance.

Qualifications

• Understand Health and Social Care Act 2008.
• Able to demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Genuine interest in working in a social care environment.
• Demonstrate care and compassion.
• Team player and able to work in a physically and mentally demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Company Mission Statement at all times.
• Ensure the Home's furniture, furnishings and fittings are clean.
• Ensure all surfaces of floors, walls and ceilings are clean.
• Clean carpets when necessary.
• Empty wastebaskets and bins daily with safe disposal.
• Clean internal windows monthly.
• Clean bedrooms weekly; communal areas daily.
• Clean sinks, en-suites, bathrooms and toilets daily.
• Store chemicals per COSHH requirements.
• Restock paper products and dispensers.
