Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the care team and help maintain a clean, safe environment for service users and staff. The role includes daily cleaning of bedrooms and communal areas, safe waste disposal, and stocking essential supplies, with apprenticeship opportunities available.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be within a commutable distance to the location. A range of benefits and flexible working patterns are provided.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
• Able to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Genuine interest in working in a social care environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Company's Mission Statement at all times.
• Maintain the Home's furniture, furnishings and fittings in a clean condition.
• Ensure all surfaces of floors, walls and ceilings are clean.
• Clean carpets when necessary.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of waste safely in line with requirements.
• Clean all internal windows monthly.
• Clean all bedrooms thoroughly once a week; communal areas cleaned daily.
• Ensure sinks, en-suites, bathrooms and toilets are cleaned daily.
• Chemicals stored in line with COSHH requirements.
• Re-stock paper products and dispensers.
