Job summary

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a sessional tutor to teach short care courses to adult learners across college sites. The role involves planning and running person-centred care, safeguarding, moving and handling, and infection control sessions using demonstrations and scenarios.

Hours are offered as required by course provision and learner demand. The role may require teaching at Salisbury Campus and other college sites, with Enhanced DBS checks and eligibility checks in place.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or higher in health and social care, adult care or related subject, and/or significant industry experience.
• Teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver community and domiciliary care sessions with lesson plans and resources.
• Teach person-centred care, dignity, respect and individual choice.
• Cover safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion within learning.
• Utilise demonstrations and scenarios to build learner confidence and decision-making.
• Monitor progress with constructive feedback and maintain safeguarding standards.
