YMCA DownsLink Group is seeking Bank Support Workers to join our OLYP services. You will work with our experienced team to provide practical and emotional support to residents, building positive relationships with young people and helping them navigate challenges and opportunities.

The role involves signposting on housing, budgeting, independent living, education and employment, health and wellbeing, and community connections.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people or in a supported housing, care, education or community setting.
• Approachable, compassionate and resilient with commitment to empowering young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to residents.
• Build positive relationships with young people and help them navigate challenges and access opportunities.
• Offer guidance and signposting around housing and tenancy management, budgeting and financial wellbeing, independent living skills, education, training and employment opportunities, health and wellbeing, and community connections.
• Contribute to the safe and effective day-to-day running of the service, providing consistency and encouragement.
