Job summary

YMCA DownsLink Group is seeking Bank Support Workers to join our expanding team. You will work alongside experienced staff to provide practical and emotional support to residents in our 16+ OL​YP, Care Leavers, and UASC services across Sussex and Surrey.

Shifts include day, evening, waking night, weekend and bank holidays, with advance or short-notice bookings. A trauma-informed approach guides our support and signposting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or within a supported housing, care, education or community setting.
• Approachable, compassionate and resilient with a commitment to empowering young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to residents.
• Build positive relationships with young people and help them access opportunities.
• Offer signposting on housing, budgeting, independent living skills, education and employment.
